Process of Indian Passport Apostille
To get an apostille on an Indian passport, you need to submit the original passport or a certified true copy to a designated service provider authorized by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), along with a photocopy of the passport, where they will affix the apostille stamp after verifying the document; you can submit documents through the MEA's online platform "eSanad" and typically need to visit a Regional Passport Office (RPO) in your area depending on your location.
Indian Joined the Hague convention on 1st June 2016. Since then Indian documents do not need Embassy attestation if documents are being used in Hague countries.
Note – If you are travelling to countries that are not part of hague Nation ( UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Thailand etc ) You need to get additional verification called embassy attestation.

- Check the date of the apostille ( should not be more than 6 months old ) meaning you cannot use apostille which are older than 6 months from the date of issue.
