How to Get an Apostille for the Republic of Türkiye

In India we have two procedures to get an apostille attestation certificate for your documents to use in Turkey.

  1. State Attestation Method
  2. SDM Attestation Method

State Attestation Method for Türkiye Apostille

State attestation method is the process where the state government authority that issued the document verifies the authenticity of the certificate. In India for certain documents which come under the purview of the state government, the MEA mandates the state government verification.

In this method of verification the secretary of the district from where the document issued verifies the validity and origin of the document and its signature/seal. Subsequently, the state HRD ministry places a stamp on the document. Finally, the document reaches the Ministry of External Affairs where they verify the document and place an apostille stamp.

This method involves various government departments. Hence, the whole process takes around 30 days.
